Anyone tried this game? I bought it, and currently love it. It's basically just Diablo 3 set in the future with laser guns and flaming swords and stuff. Also ZOMBIES!!! Lots of zombies. Too many to count kind of zombies. Oh, and, did I mention the zombies? I guess there's demons too, but the zombies are innumberable. D; ZOMBIES!!!

Sounds pretty good. I might look into it. One day. Once I beat Radiant Dawn 20 or so times...

It's a computer game, and is an MMORPG or single player depending on your mood. ;P (This one's actually got a single player option. )

I've heard bad things about it from a friend who torrented it, but he's somewhat picky. My sis bought it for her BF, so I'll get her to ask him what he thinks.

Well it's basically Diablo 3. The main problem I'm hearing is "It's two Diablo-esque in that it has preptative dungeons and monsters." Well, what the hell do you expect from a game made by the team that made Diablo and Diablo 2? xD

So it's unrealistic to expect people to be able to do something original? Just because they made D1 & D2 dosen't mean they can remake the and and try to sell it as something new.

They're not trying to sell it as something new. They're unable to name it Diablo 3 because they're no longer part of Blizzard. But this game is a little different from the Diablo's, and they're working on improving it. Although, I myself loved Diablo 2, and still love this game. What's wrong with making a third Diablo set in our world, a few years in the future. It's set in London in like 2038, and is basically running through a dungeon killing stuff until you find the boss, and kill him. Just like the good ol' Diablo's. I'm 100% certain it would've been called Diablo 3 if they were still part of Blizzard and not a stand-alone company.

The difference between this and what would have been D3 is that D3 would have advanced the story of the Diablo universe. Imagine the canceled the Zelda series then they made a new game with exactly the same gameplay elements and everything dressed up nice and pretty. You aren't getting something new, you're getting something youve already seen before.

Although, I don't mind getting something I've already seen. I've been a long time fan of Diablo and will stick with it. Diablo isn't the only game to use Diablo-esque gameplay elements. What's wrong with using their own setup? Many development companies that make different games with different names have almost the exact same concept (I'm talking about the same company releasing different ones). Flagship Studio's isn't the first to make a good game out of an old concept.

It's lazy to make the same thing over and over. Come with a new idea, take a chance and roll the dice. The problem with many companies is they disrespect their consumers and sell them the same thing over and over.

And the consumers still buy the same thing over and over. If people were to say "Hey, lets all not buy this" Then they'd make new games. It's partly our fault as the consumer for liking something that's been done well for awhile. Us as the consumer aren't very adventurous either. Very few people will buy games for a genre they have no experience with. Unless they've tried that game somewhere else.

This is how series are developed, you flaming ReRe.
