Lucky Star sucks. Lucky Star is basically just a rehash of any anime you can think of. If you were to chibi the characters from Haruhi Suzumiya, they'd (mostly) fit perfectly into the ones from Lucky star. Most hairstyles and all. I'm sure I've seen a vid of it somewhere. <_<

Yes, I believe I sent you that video. Lucky Star may just be a blend of everything else stuck on top of Azumanaga Daioh, but I at least find it humorous. But then again, I'm a freak.

If it is just a combination of other animes then shoulden't we like it because it takes the good parts out of other animes?

That depends on what you like. Some find composites unoriginal because they don't do anything new, instead they just repackage things you've already seen.

Well what if we haved seen the other parts the anime is made of and you treat it like a summary?

Then you might not like the original because you saw the summary. I'd rather support the creator then someone who sits there and mashes a bunch of series together and calls it new.

Th other thing about Lucky Star is that it reveals parts of Otaku culture, and tries to send a message. It does have some new elements, just very few, that are used as a kinda of Icing on the older, combined things. I guess it just varies based on your tastes and the way you think about it.

Lucky Star AMVs are not interesting.

Well, AMV's can be more interesting than an anime, if they're done well. I've sometimes used them to make or break watching an anime.

Pardon my complete and utter retardedness, but I have to ask...
What exactly ARE AMV's?
Don't ask me to wiki it cause wiki ain't helpin' (I'm pretty sure you aren't talking about military vehicles, Russian airports, or VTOLs)
My best guess is Anime Music Video, but that just doesn't seem right to me.
(Can't download to see cause I'm downloading something else and downloading 2 things at once rips my computer's BALLS off.)

When we talk about AMV's we are definately talking about VTOL's. Or atleast, I am, I don't know about the others.
